The idea of paq chair was inspired simply by necessity.
When moving into his new apartment in 2010, Géza Csire, the young product design engineer had only a mattress to furnish his room with. As he was looking for a couch, but also a solution to hide the messy mattress, he soon came up with the idea of probably the world’s simplest way to transform a bed into an armchair.
His clever design moved on to take one and half years of product development and has been awarded at the 2011 Belgrade Mikser Design Festival. Thanks to the cooperation with BBDM design management, in Spring 2012 the paq chair has made it’s public debut.
BBDM was created to strengthen the presence of designers and their works on the national and international markets. To put it simply: we “businessify” design.
The designer designs and then we manage and act. Our responsibility is the business side of design, being it operational or strategic work. Among all we deal with the strategic planning, marketing, sales and post-sales parts of the design projects, even in some special cases we’re responsible for manufacturing as well. The most important is that we’re not just talking but we’re making things happen.
